As I was driving home last Friday evening, I heard on the radio that the government has declared Monday 16 May as a collective leave day ahead of the public holiday of the Buddhist Waisak on Tuesday.
This announcement surprised me and many others, because it was made very sudden, unlike previous years whereby additional free days were announced at the end of the year before.
If it was announced several days earlier, we would be able to make plans on how to spend four long holidays (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) properly, for example by going out of town. That way, I don't have to make any appointments at the office for Monday, therefore I don't have to cancel those appoinments.
I hope that in the future the government would announce free days before the end of previous year so that they can be printed on the calendars just like before.

Not knowing the details I should be careful in choosing my words. So I will stick to: a case of weird,bizarre and at hazard administration.
Have nice holidays, mas Harry !
Harry, you don't have to cancel any appointments made if it is okay too by the other side. I do have an appointment today at 10, and the other side said over the BlackBerry Messenger that we don't have to cancel the appointment. The best thing is that we have an agreement that we don't have to dress up for the appointment. After the appointment I will go straight home. Have a nice free week-start Harry! ;)
Berita nya dadakan ya...
Bikin pusing masyarakat...
all so uncertain.and always repeated
selamat liburan sahabat

WE are stuck with what holidays we have. This year in NZ Easter Monday and Anzac Day (the day we honour our war dead)fell on the same day. So we have lost one of our public holidays. You guys are luck!
kunjungna sore sob......
Lucky you to be included in the list of people that could take Monday off as a holiday.... I hope you have a great break from the routine
tapi kantor saya ga libur loh, hiks hiks...

@Colson,
Those are the right words to explain about what's happened.
@Utomo,
Thank you, have a nice week end pak.
@Yari,
The cancellation was based on mutual agreement with my counterparts.
Thank you for your suggestion anyway.
@Fahrizi,
Iya membuat masyarakat bingung.
@Wisata Murah,
Let us hope they will do better.
@TUKANG CoLoNG,
Kalau begitu tidak boleh cuti dong?
he he he
@Peter/Kiwi,
Yeah, in a way you can say that we are actually lucky.
@Mas Kholik,
Terima kasih mas.
@Luke,
Perhaps I am really lucky, although I only stay in town.
@Meutia,
Ini bukan libur gratis, dalam arti akan diperhitungkan dengan cuti tahunan, jadi anda tidak rugi masuk hari ini. Karena cuti tahunan anda tidak berkurang dan bisa dipakai sesuai keinginan.
Tapi seperti nya libur nya lanjutin aja sampai minggu, *ngikik
tanggung sih, ahahahaha
Fahrizi,
Enak sih enak tapi masyarakat tambah bingung jadinya, ha ha ha ...
