One of the most popular topics in the Indonesian media today is the existence of a Crop Circle (above) located in the middle of a paddy field at the village of Berbah, Sleman, Yogyakarta, around 5 kilometers from the Adisutjipto Airport.
UFO lovers told TV stations that the 60 m x 70 m Crop Circle is not made by human beings but by aliens from outer space and it is has some similarity with the one that has appeared in England in the '70s..
However, the Indonesian Space Agency suspects that the Crop Circle involve human invention, not a natural phenomenon or scientific phenomenon.
Meanwhile, artists in Jogjakarta said that they have nothing to do with the Circle Crop.

Crop Cirlces, hmmm aliens? Freaks of nature or something else?
I am sat with all 3 but mainly something else. I have friends who live in the south west of England where the famous circles of the 1990s were found and still are every year. One of the local pubs is often frequented by locals who freely admit to making these wonderous patterns through the night...
Perhaps a government ploy to distract us from Merapi aftermath?
And the money it brings in is useful for the farmers as well....
crop circles are always so fascinating! the publicity that comes along with an appearance of a crop circle is usually huge. like Luke said above, good money for the farmers.
@Luke,
As an Englishman who just returned from holiday in England you know more about the Crop Circle.
Most likely it is man made.
It has attracted many people to the area and but the photos, therefore good for the local farmers.
@Furree Katt,
Yes it is fascinating indeed, bringing good for the farmers.
So mystery =)

@Attayaya_lions,
Bisa jadi ini suatu seni mengolah tanaman seperti anda katakan.
@Colson,
I also think this is a strange perhaps funny thing. But for the time being I'd rather talk about this than strange cases like Gayus, corruption etc.
@Auraman,
yeah, I also think this is man made.
@Wisata Murah,
Saya baru mau tanya kepada anda tentang hal ini.

Hi Meutia,
Thank you very much for sharing the information about Crop Circle.
I will check the site you mentioned.
Haha I plan to see the crop circle today! I do believe it's man-made, though.
Hi Fifi,
So you are living close to the area.
I look forward to hearing your about this.
I think its man made. if aliens did it they could have been traced or seen by the hundreds of satalite flying in our athmosphere.
Hi Mannoy,
I think you are right.
Oh, uh... seems like a great phenomenon. But my guess is, this is man made. :)
Hi JP,
Latest report said that our space agency consider it as a work of men.
Hi Harry,
Interesting. A hoax or not but again who knows.Wallahuallam.
I guess no one will be complaining as long as no harm is done like loss of yield to the farmer concerned.
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Umi,
Most likely it's just a hoax like in other countries.
The people in the area, incl. farmers gets money by selling photos of the Corp Circle.
These have been found in many places round the world.UFO's orr unidentifies funny objects?
Hi Petee,
Recent investigation by our Space Agency revealed that it was man made.
Circle this top nice info in sleman city
Hi Media Update,
I heard that another Crop Circle appeared in Bantul. But LAPAN said that both of them are made by men.
Hi Harry,
If this work of art is man made, I wonder why would these people want to appear as anonymous artists, as I understand that Indonesians generally love fame and publicity?
Hi Aprianti,
That's a good question.
One answer that I can think of
right now is that they were paid
by someone to do that, maybe to distract people attention from current difficult situations such as price increase of everything.
