Malaysia: Champion, Indonesia: Runner-Up

The Indonesian team beats the Malaysian team this evening with a score of 2-1 in the second leg of the Final Round of the AFF-Suzuki Cup football tournament in Jakarta.

However, the Indonesian team failed to be Champion, because the Malaysian team have beat them with a score of 0-3 in the first leg match in Kuala Lumpur last Sunday.

Therefore, the Malaysian team became the Champion, congratulations! and the Indonesian team became Runner-Up, congratulations!.

In spite of this fact, I am very proud of our team's players, Nasuha and Ridwan who made the above two goals, Gonzales, Okto, Arif, Irfan, Markus and all the other players for their hard works. Thank you very much!

A very big thank you to Coach Alfred Riedl and his assistants who have done their very best to our team.

Moreover, I would like to thank 80,000 supporters of our team who have watched tonight's match peacefully at the Bung Karno Stadium.

Yes our team has shown to us that they can perform well inspite of the interferences by politicians.

I think this is probably the best FINAL ever! The tensions, the atmosphere, the fans.. everything was great! Maybe it got to do with rivalry between our nations. I'm glad that nothing bad happen. In the end both set of players show excellent "semangat kesukanan". Good for the sport. Too bad that there's could be only one winner. Luckily for Malaysia, I think your country peak too soon.
Maybe the AFF should work on conspiracy to ensure M'sia and Indonesia met again in the final on 2012. I think ASEAN football really needs publicity like this. Good for ASEAN football.

@Ismail/Passionate Blogger,
You are right, Asean footbal should be promoted more often.
Especially that football is the most popular sport in the region and starting 2015 there will be the Asean Community, therefore people to people relationship should be enhanced.
