Stealing Tiger's Fur from a Zoo

The Sumatra Tigers are on the brink of extinction because of rapid deforestation, poaching and clashes with humans.

According to the World Wildlife Fund, the numbers of Sumatra Tigers have decreased very rapidly from around 1,000 in the 1970s to less than 400 today.

Due to which facts, I always thought that the best place for endangered animals like those Tigers would be a Zoo where they can live and breed more peacefully under close supervision.

However, I now realize that my perception about the Zoo has been wrong, that was after I read the news about the killing of a female Sumatra Tiger at a Zoo in Jambi Province at the Indonesian Island of Sumatra, stolen the Tiger's Fur & Bones, leaving behind only the intestines.

From TV news reports, I learned that the killers came to the Zoo and gave the Tiger a piece of poisoned Meat, after that they cut it and took away the skin and bones, and about the possibility of involvement of the guard of the Zoo.

For details on the above, please click here and here.

It is very sad to know that anyone would ever want to kill the endangered Tiger. And the sadest thing is that the killing was done at a Zoo where the Tiger is supposed to be safely guarded by authorized security officers.

Hi Harry,..Can't stand without comment on your post,..you know friend,deep down inside,feels like broken hearted,"miris hati" knowing the news involved the inside man,money talks,makes everything change.People race each other to fullfill their needs and making money,no matters gone wrong that the sumatra tigers is one of the most endangered species in our country.We're about to begin or already begin the new era of "selling and buying" anything which possible can profit iresponsible people.Corruption if i may say so.Harry,..i'm worried about our art and culture too,as your post about maintaining cultural products,is it include "selling and buying" era for some iresponsible people,i hope not.

Maybe one day there will be no Zoo in a country. Even in my country the National Zoo itself didn't take care of the animals in good way. Stealing tiger fur from a Zoo? I hope one day they make mistake and the tiger will eat them.

@Fitrahnsyah ...
It is very sad that people can be so selfish & greedy without considering other people or other God's creation.

@Momoc ...
It seems that this barbarian act happened in many countries.
Re: your last words : ha ha ha ha ha

I think killing animals, especially endangered species like this is so outrageous! It is absolutely shocking to me that this is still going on today. These creatures should be able to roam free without human intervention. These people who buy the items are just guilty than the people who kill innocent animals.

Tricia ...
You are right that people who buy and use products made from parts of endangered animals are as guilty as those who killed them.

Hi, thanks for visiting my dreamer's site. I love tigers and have to add my 2cents to this topic.
Everybody is sad about what happened. OK. That's understandable. But, I suggest you all get over being sad and get mad instead.

A Dreams Teller ...
Yeah you are right no need to be sad all the time, it's time to get 'mad' which I assume as joining movements to safe the tigers.
