Harry...

You going with the Atma Jaya students' view or the Hizbit Tharir view?

Rob,

My own view, I am never familiar with any religious groups, although my parents, brothers/sisters, both natural and in-laws are all Haj.

In connection with HIV/AIDS, I see and think from a humanitarian way, Believe me, many people felt the same way.

Aids is to give away, not to give a way. Aids day is to remind of the harm...

Edwin,

I like the way you use the words to describe Aids. Thanks.

Edwin + Harry...

I disagree that the idea of World AIDS Day is to remind us of the harm that HIV / AIDS causes.

I think the purpose is to focus our energies on moving forward by remembering those that we have lost and what must be done in order to rid the world of this scourge.

Rob,

I think our thoughts are not very different. Edwin said that it remind us of the harm that aids have caused, thus remember those that we have lost.
While yours is to remember those that we have lost.
The difference is that you went further to look what must be done in order to eliminate the virus. And I fully agree with that.

The beauty about blogging is that it makes us share our thoughts, narrow our differences, or at least understand (& respect) other people's thoughts.
