Blawgers are human beings
As a human being, I tend to get bored in doing the same things for a very long time. But for things that are related to my day job, my family and other important things, I would usually get my passion back quite easily.
One of the things that I have been doing very passionately for the last five months is blogging, for which purpose I have read/heard/watch news media & other blogs for inspirations. But considering that when I first created this blog I have limited the topics to the Laws and Regulations in Indonesia, I often face some sort of " Writer's Block" whereby I don't have idea what to write about.
In this regards, I have read an interesting posting by Robert Ambrogi in Law.com saying that it is usual for blawgers to face boredom. He even mentioned that two American Copyright Blawgers have ended their blawg. The first one was Google's Copyright Lawyer William Patry who ended his blog The Patry Copyright Blog last August, because his readers refused to separate him as Google's Lawyer and as a personal blawger. Besides, the present condition of Copyright Law is depressing him. Two months later, another Copyright Lawyer Keith Henning ended his blawg Copywrite for similar reason.
Considering the above, and the fact that I really love blogging, I have decided to expand the topic of my blog, thus not merely limited to the Laws and Regulations but include other matters related to the implementation of the laws e.g Politics, etc.

Rob's Blog
My blogging activity for today is visiting other blogs that I have frequently visited, one of them is a blog that I have followed i.e The RAB Experience authored by Rob Baiton, an Australian, English Editor of Indonesian online Legal Website: Hukum Online.
Rob’s blog featured the tagline: Musings about the law, politic, culture, people and life in Indonesia, Australia and elsewhere. It consistently posts relevant topics, using words that are clear and easy to understand. People not only read and give comments, but they don’t seem to allow Rob to take a break from blogging activity, although he has given reasonable explanation i.e. to have more time with his new born baby son Will.
That's because most of Rob’s bloposts are interesting, for example Little Girl on a Plane, Parent at 13-years Old, Madonna (for adults), they all worth reading. Nice works Rob!
As a conclusion, I felt happy that I have been following Rob’s blog, and also glad that he has followed mine as well.

Matt Mullenweg
" A Great Young Man! "
That's what I thought about Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of the Texas based WordPress blogging platform, after I read a blog post in Ndoro Kakung.
I've got every reason to think that way about Matt, because at the age of 25 years old he has successfully lead WordPress into one of the world's largest free blog provider.
Matt came to Jakarta for the WordPress World Camp on 17 & 18 January 2009. And in an interview with Kompas, Matt said that until the year 2008, 230 million frequent visitors have viewed 6.5 billion pages in WordPress. He also said that there are 280,000 blogs using Indonesian language, making it the Third language used by WordPress bloggers after English and Spanish.
Matt, 25 years old on 11 January 2009, said in his blog that he started his carrier by working at CNET Network in San Fransico. After quitting in late 2005 he established Automatic i.e. the company behind WordPress, Automattic, Akismet, Gravatar, bbPress, Intense Debate, dan BuddyPress. For which, he has been named one of PC World’s Top 50 People on the Web, Inc.com’s 30 under 30, and Business Week’s 25 Most Influential People on the Web.
In spite of his achievements, Matt seems to be a simple man, love to wear Jeans, casual shirt & sport shoes. His hobbies are Photography, playing Jazz music with his Saxophone & Dvorak keyboard.
In conclusion, I felt that Matt Mullenweg is a model young man with very strong passion, willingness to work very hard & maintain good cooperation with others to reach goal in life, not merely for his own personal benefit but also for millions of people around the world. Therefore, we are all lucky to have him.

Recruitment thru Facebook
Until a few months ago, I always thought that Facebook is only used by young people to connect with each other for social activities.
Then, I learned that some commercial enterprises have opened Facebook pages to promote their companies as well as their products/services. And yesterday I read an article written by Robert J. Ambrogi in Law.com regarding the opening of a Facebook page by a Texas Law Firm i.e. Munsch, Hardt, Kopf & Barr to increase visibility among young associates and law students. The page provides video testimonial, photo albums and other information regarding the Firm and its associates.
In view of the above, I felt that this is a very creative recruitment method which is low cost but effective, therefore can be adopted by Law Firms as well as commercial enterprises in our country where Facebook is very popular among young people.

The Arrest of a Blogger
Last Sunday, I read an article on the blog of Ndoro Kakung about the arrest of an Indonesian blogger by the Jakarta Police on 13 December 2008 for alleged Demafation against the television station TRANS TV and Falsification of Identity.
The blogger's name was not mentioned but only described as a former employee of TRANS TV who was fired from his job due to certain reason. Very disappointed with his former employer, he later on posts articles against TRANS TV on a blog that he built using the Blogspot hosting.
Meanwhile, Detik reported that in order to carry out a thorough investigation on this case the Police has called upon the so called "father of Indonesian blogger" Enda Nasution to give his opinion as a Blog expert regarding this case.
This case reminds me about the fact as Blogger we are an integral part of the society, and what we wrote might effect other people. If we are not wise, what we write might offend other people, and we might face legal consequences.
