    Is it Waisak or Vesak? What does it compare to in other religions?

    Peter@Kiwi,
    In Indonesia we call it Waisak, while in Malaysia: Vesak, and it has commemorate three events:
    1) The Birth of Buddha
    2) The Greatness of Buddha
    3) The Death of Buddha
    That's why it is called Three Holiness.
